The release date for the upcoming Supermassive Games project, The Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil in Me, potentially leaks online.

In 2015, developer Supermassive Games released its first interactive drama horror game, Until Dawn. The gameplay involved quick time events and decision-making that ultimately determined the fates of the characters. Since then, the developer has gone on to create a series of anthology games with the same type of gameplay, titled The Dark Pictures Anthology. The next installment will be titled The Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil in Me.

Supermassive Games has released a new Dark Pictures Anthology installment every year since the first one released in 2019.The Devil in Me is set to hit shelves later this year, and now we may know just when the game will come out.

The Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil in Me was officially revealed in October of 2021 and currently doesn’t have a set release date but will hit shelves sometime in the fall of this year. Traditionally the games have been released near Halloween, with the last two installments released in late October. A recent post from Aggioranmenti Lumia indicates that the game will be pushed back a month from the traditional release date. Aggioranmenti Lumia regularly posts alleged leaks. According to Lumia. The Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil in Me will hit shelves on November 30.

This particular release date does seem a bit odd. As mentioned before, the games are traditionally released in the fall and usually before Halloween in order to capitalize on the season. Even stranger is the fact that November 30th falls on a Wednesday as video games are traditionally released on either Tuesday or Friday. One of the most recent games to break that mold is God of War: Ragnarok, which will be released on Wednesday, November 9. Earlier this month, however, PlayStation Game Size claimed that The Dark Pictures: The Devil in Me would be released on October 21 instead. It remains to be seen if either source is correct.

The Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil in Me will mark the end of what Supermassive Games had described as the first season of the series. Earlier this year, The Dark Pictures developer was acquired by Nordisk Games. It is currently unclear if the company’s new owner will want to persue the series any further.

The Dark Pictures: The Devil in Me releases later this year for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
